Job Position: Gardener / Landscaper / Grounds Maintenance Jobs in QLD ( 2nd Year Visa Eligible ).

Based in Goondiwindi QLD, Carrington Cotton Group of Companies (RMI Pty Limited) is a family owned agricultural group involved in a diverse range of activities including; irrigated cotton, ginning, warehousing and logistics, broad acre grains and pulses, livestock breeding, backgrounding, feed lotting, along with Motel and Caravan Park operations.

We are currently look for new members to join our Garden maintenance and Landscaping team, which maintain a mixture of green spaces across our company assets. This role varies from residential and commercial locations to private homestead gardens, office surrounds and hospitality locations (caravan park and motels) for the New Year!!

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Gardener/s to join our team but will also consider training the right applicant/s. If you have a love for the outdoors, a green thumb, combine with a passion for horticulture, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out duties in a planned way, following work schedules, organising materials and equipment

prior to commencing work

• Mow, whipper snip and water lawn and garden areas

• Maintain fences, sprinklers systems and water supply equipment and general garden structures

• Maintain garden beds and hedges (pruning, weeding, mulching, planting)

• Prepare and apply garden chemicals as required, operating only under supervision until trained;

• Use hand tools, hedge trim, pole pruners and chainsaws to trim trees, large shrubs and hedges

• Operate farm and gardening equipment, such as mowers, fertiliser spreaders, tractor, slasher, spraying equipment and ATV as

required, following all safe operating

• Perform routine checks on all equipment prior to use and ensure all routine maintenance is performed as required and report any

major repair needed

• Maintain a tidy/clean workplace, along with weekly rubbish removal

Skills and Experience:

• Must hold a current driver 's Licence

• Demonstrated competency in all tasks reasonable required of a Gardener/ Landscaper / Grounds person

• Knowledge and interest in Gardens, landscapes and lawns

• Strong organisational, time management and problem solving skills

• Ability to work both alone and as part of a team, along with good communication skills

• A good work ethic with attention to detail

• Friendly and well presented

These is a hands on, full time positions with a locally owned family business in a thriving regional community.
