About the Role

A new Spanish restaurant set to open in Amman, Jordan, is seeking a skilled Head Chef to lead the kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to be involved in the restaurant’s launch, including menu creation and kitchen operations, while working closely with the restaurant's owners.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead the planning, organization, and management of the kitchen operations for the new restaurant.

-Curate and develop a comprehensive menu reflective of Spanish cuisine, incorporating innovative and traditional dishes.

-Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

-Manage food purchasing, inventory control, and supplier relationships to ensure fresh, high-quality ingredients.

-Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.

-Collaborate with the restaurant owners to align culinary concepts with business objectives.

-Oversee kitchen budget, including food and labor costs.

-Implement health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Requirements

-Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, preferably with expertise in Spanish cuisine.

-Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a kitchen team.

-Creative culinary skills with the ability to craft unique and appealing menus.

-Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

-Knowledge of the latest culinary trends and a passion for food quality and presentation.

-Strong understanding of cost and labor management.

-Ability to work under pressure and handle the dynamic nature of restaurant operations.

-Professional culinary training or certifications; a degree from a recognized culinary school is preferred.
