Disney Streaming is looking for a product marketing assistant to help simplify the marketing and user experience strategies for ESPN+ streaming products and all aspects of the Disney bundle. The product marketing assistant will help promote product positioning, conduct competitive analysis, perform channel-level activation, and continue to test and optimize the priority of functions and value attributes in marketing materials; this person will play an important role in formulating ESPN+ product marketing strategies and help Implement it in ESPN+, ESPN and The Disney Bundle touchpoints.
The ideal candidate has an in-depth understanding and enthusiasm for the digital media field. Although this role will mainly focus on acquisition strategies, candidates should have a clear understanding of the complete marketing channel, and understand the design of experiments and gain insights from data. The ultimate goal is to increase the engagement audience for ESPN+. The assistant will work in a wide range of teams, and by understanding the KPIs and goals of the aforementioned teams and their respective channels, the priorities will be integrated and refined into an overall marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and execute a strategic marketing roadmap to drive user acquisition, conversion, and engagement for ESPN+ and Disney bundles.
- Lead the planning and execution of our marketing landing page strategy to optimize the conversion of ESPN+ and Disney Bundle.
- Create innovative and competitive product positioning for ESPN+ products, targeting each channel
- Work with product, sports marketing, branding, payment, life cycle, analysis and design teams to determine key growth areas, feature priorities, user experience and marketing strategies
- Define KPIs to measure the success of activities and predict performance to inform accurate plans
- Conceive, test and iterate new conversion strategies on paid platforms, organic platforms, self-owned platforms and emerging platforms to promote tactical execution
- Excellent decision-making skills, able to identify, prioritize and clarify high-impact marketing plans
- Work comfortably in a cross-collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment to support new products/businesses
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of marketing experience, basic understanding of product and development workflow, preferably subscription-based streaming media service experience
- Experience in content management systems is preferred, but not required
- Understand the creative strategy and experience of working directly with creative teams to execute acquisition and participation-driven marketing materials
- Multi-channel marketing experience, thorough understanding of engagement, retention and analysis, and familiarity with organic and paid subjects
- A collaborative leader who specializes in complex and cross-functional projects across teams, promotions, and leagues
- Ability to simplify and transform product requirements into marketing requirements and vice versa
- Clearly understand full-funnel marketing, digital media KPIs and attribution.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, prepare and interpret reports, and communicate actionable results, findings, and recommendations.
- Balance of creative and analytical thinking
Preferred:
- A proven track record of achieving growth from multiple digital marketing sources and performing critical analysis with minimal supervision.
- Experience in promoting cross-functional team coordination and strategic planning
- Have experience in coordinating marketing assets and approvals
- A self-starter who can work independently, but also as part of a team
- Good at communication, capable, positive attitude and strong desire to do things well
- Passion for digital media and entertainment space
